Asymmetric multilevel inverters generate high-quality output voltage using the same number of components as symmetric inverters. The main drawback these topologies is that they require many DC sources, and power switches must endure high stress. In this paper, a switched-capacitor sub-module inverter topology proposed to reduce sources stress on asymmetric can 15 levels by two supplies capacitor. capacitor be automatically charged at half input supply without need for any sensors. addition, charging operation does not produce an inrush current because it direction current; advantage over switched A modular also presented based achieve while reducing elements. comprehensive comparison between proposal other performed validate design inverter. thermal loss distribution simulations are performed. Finally, performance, efficiency, accuracy confirmed through laboratory prototyping.
